East Bernard Home Inspections
Greater Way Home Inspections is based right here in East Bernard. We are not driving in from Houston or Rosenberg to squeeze in your inspection between other jobs. We know this town and the kind of homes that get built here, from the older farmhouses to newer construction.
Being local means faster scheduling, a same-day or next-day report in most cases, and an inspector who isn't guessing about what's normal for this area and what's a red flag.

What We Look For in East Bernard Texas Homes
East Bernard sits on the San Bernard River in Wharton County, and that comes with a few things worth knowing before you buy or sell here:
-
Foundation movement. Like most of this part of the Gulf Coastal Plain, the clay soil here expands and contracts with moisture, which means foundation issues show up more than they would in other parts of the state. We check for this closely on every inspection.
-
Flood zone awareness. Given the river, some properties fall within or near flood zones. We'll flag drainage issues, grading problems, and anything that suggests past water intrusion.
-
Well and septic systems. Many homes around East Bernard aren't on city water or sewer. We also offer well and septic specific inspections which can be scheduled at the same time as the general home inspection.
-
Age of housing stock. East Bernard has a mix of older homes with original electrical or plumbing and newer builds. We tailor what we check for based on the home's age and construction type.
While East Bernard is home base, we also inspect homes throughout Wharton County and beyond including:
Wharton, El Campo, and out toward Victoria, Angleton, and College Station.
